This was a great find! I booked to get away and meet family and found an absolute gem! It’s located literally right on the beach, the beds are so comfortable! The views are amazing and the fireplace makes it perfect! The hot tub is nice and looks out over ocean! I’ve stayed in 2 different rooms and can’t wait to come back and stay in a room with a spa tub!
Beautiful clean room on the 3rd floor with balcony, fireplace, beach views and lots of cable channels I also enjoyed the hot tub on site. The text messages regarding my booking, room readiness and general information was a very nice feature. I've stayed at 3 different places in Lincoln City now, and would definitely stay here over the others.
What a gem of a hotel! Right on the beach front and a reasonable price?! Unheard of. Beautiful sunset and a relaxing soundtrack of waves crashing. Loved the little kitchenette even though we only stayed one night. I would absolutely return to the Sandcastle!
We had a really nice room with a fireplace. The view was perfect and the pool and hot tub were relaxing. The staff was friendly but joked themselves out of a tip they otherwise would have received. The shower had a head and a wand. When my sister turned on the water, she was shot directly in the face. That was absolutely deliberate. I'm all about a good joke, but that was crapy and potentially dangerous.
Overall our stay was great! We checked in at 5pm and the room was very clean. The shower is super fancy!!! The only issues with the room is that the walls are very thin, you can hear everything going on in the floor above you and next to you. Our fireplace had a small problem with the natural gas, our room smelled like propane it was hard to breathe at night so we had to shut off the fireplace. The on call emergency line connected us to a very knowledgeable and helpful man who walked us through the entire process of shutting off the natural gas. Friendly staff, incredible view of the beach, and clean rooms made our stay perfect!
We come here for my birthday just about every year. We enjoy the ocean views. This year we found out that they’re doing extensive renovations. Outside has a fresh coat of paint and the room we were in on the 3rd floor was finished and the room was very nice.. bathroom was beautifully done. New king bed was very comfortable!!! Can’t wait until my next birthday in April to return. The weather was beautiful!!
It's a standard oregon coast motel. Nothing fancy and has that older feel, but it's a wonderful place to stay. The staff have always been great. The rooms are always clean and the beds are decent. What continually brings us back is the pool/spa and the proximity to the beach. We've stayed at other beachfront hotel/motel, but the stairs are crazy steep. Sandcatle, only has something like 8-10 steps to get to the sand which makes it accessible to all in our group, including grandma . The room the pool and spa are in have big windows that make for great views during sun set.
